Under the motto "A brilliant day for professionals, by professionals", the 1st Salzburg Developer Day was held on Wednesday, October 28, 2015, at the University of Applied Sciences Salzburg. Software developers and managers from 5 successful Salzburg IT companies presented current topics to like-minded peers.
Over 150 participants were interested in topics such as secure coding, GUI redesign, off-the-shelf software vs. custom software, antipatterns in Scrum, and many more. The large number of topics was split across two sessions, presented in parallel in two lecture halls. Participants therefore had the opportunity to shape their day according to the topics that interested them most.
Another highlight was the after-work gathering that followed, which was used especially by students for intensive networking. By the end of the day, this had even led to initial conversations about open positions at the IT companies.
